Matching Extraordinary Homes with Extraordinary Lives

Working with such a well respected global brand like Sotheby’s International Realty is empowering for me and my clients.  It’s a company that understands the dynamics of a market that extends beyond our shores but remains as local as the post office.  Since we changed flags in the Fall of 2010, I have been blessed with a new set of clients opening doors to amazing home selling engagements in Los Gatos, Cupertino, Portola Valley, Woodside, San Carlos & the Emerald Hills of Redwood City.  My marketing has touched people across the world in ways never before possible.

One of my favorite professional coaches called real estate the worst paid easy work and the best paid hard work. I have to agree and embrace that principle wholeheartedly.  While there are times when home buying and selling seem incredibly data driven, there is so much nuance, emotion,  problem solving and project managing on top of that to make being your real estate professional one of the most fulfilling and dynamic jobs one can have.  I love what I do and I believe you’ll see that in my customer reviews and in the work we do together.

It’s been an exciting 15 years as a real estate professional and 15 years as a sales executive in the magazine and online advertising world before that.  I’ve continued to produce outstanding results in one of the worst economic climates since the depression.  Before real estate I negotiated multimillion dollar agreements with Oracle, Hitachi and 3Com .  I’d like to think I bring to the table a fresh attitude about win win negotiation and customer service. I am a certified “EcoBroker”, having completed training that taught me the trends, materials and techniques in making homes healthier and more energy efficient.  I’ve also acheived my Certified Distressed Property Expert certification, enabling me to help clients who find themselves in “Short Sale” situations.

Habitat For Humanity…Habitat For Humanity in the Bay Area rehabilitates and/or constructs single family or multifamily buildings for deserving, underprivlidged families.  Helping and learning are the two benefits I get from doing demolition, re-roofing, building fences and any number of things needed to deliver a clean, safe, healthy home to it’s next occupants.  The Habitat website is easy to use and everybody I’ve worked with on these sites are fun and engaged people.

Village Enterprise Fund…Eastern Africa remains a troubled part of the world with all sorts of challenges.  By donating to VEF (based right here in San Carlos!), I’m supporting dozens of entreprenuers in Kenya and Tanzania who use grants from VEF to start businesses that lift them from poverty and moves them towards healthier and better educated lives

Relay For Life…Cancer remains a serious health issue that touches everyone at one time or another. If you haven’t been through it personally, you know a loved one or friend who has. The Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s largest fund raising effort. I have served on my local event’s management committee with my wife of 26 years and cancer survivor, Toni Sieling.
